KZN Indians In GP is a group that was created in 2013 as a Social networking platform on Facebook for KZN Indians who’ve relocated to GP and would like to meet new friends and reconnect with old friends and family members.
Founded by Shane Moodley & Mageshen Tristen Naidoo who hail from humble backgrounds, having resided in Tongaat and Stanger respectively, they had found Gauteng to be the ideal place in SA to grow themselves and later realised that as a community we could do so much more together thus the evolution of KZN Indians In GP.
The group also serves as a great business networking platform for us KZN Indians In GP. After hosting 3 very successful Networking sessions we had recommendations from members to build a website, so we did.
The platform is now being evolved as technology allows us to take it to the next level. With the introduction of the website, Business Directory and an app that will be launched in the near future, this group will be enabled to support the community to grow together, This means that people within the community will support each other before reaching outside of the community, this will create economic growth within our community.
Due to Covid-19, the KZN Indians In GP group have also come together and have been donating food vouchers to families in distress within our community, we started with 5 families in April and will reach out to a minimum of 10 families in May. The love and light from within this community has been incredibly heart-warming. We are a force to be reckoned with when we stand together!
